The Wonder ring stretcher fixture has a tapered pin expander and a multi-stepped steel collet mandrel. Position the expanded collet, choose a size, place the ring on the stepped collet, and then insert the tapered pin. To prevent oversizing and possible breaking, lightly tap the steel pin with a mallet or hammer. Tapping the other end makes removing the mandrel simple. When stretching rings, use caution and stay away from thin shanks or rings set in stones. During stretching, check for any possible solder joint damage. This tool works well with bands, however it usually enlarges the ring by no more than a finger size. Try annealing the ring to soften the metal for best effects. To correctly resize rings without sacrificing their integrity, take the necessary precautions.
